Rendering only reflection

Hello everyone

I have a small problem and can’t figure it out. I currently have an object on a reflective surface. Now I only need the object and the reflection, everything else should not be rendered (also not the reflection plane). I need the object and the reflection as a png. I have already googled, but some of the posts are a bit older. Is there a nice possibility with Blender 4.x?

many thanks for the support

Hi, this could be what you need?:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr4828-YfSU

Hello there

Thank you for your feedback. I have found similar videos that cover the same thing - I can’t get it to work. Unfortunately I’m not up to date with “compositing”, so I’ve asked again (tbh. if it doesn’t work, it’s probably me  )

I followed the introduction, set the setting and the “base” product is rendered, as well as the reflection. Unfortunately, I get a black background with final render. In the video, the user added a “background” with the image node. As soon as I add a image node, it works. But I only need the product and the reflection as a PNG (transparent)

I am limited with my uploads, so here is a sample picture. The first image is what I get rendered by blender, the second image is what I need (created with PS)

Since the product I am using is unfortunately not the Suzi, a simple background removal is not possible via PS without reworking. Since I want it to be as simple as possible, I need the final result already from blender.

In struggling. Is that even possible to do? :frowning:

Thanks fpr the help and nice weekend!
