Rendering PAL 16:9

Hi everyone noob here! Actually new to 3D period.

First I’d like to say that I have been watching this forum & blender for awhile now and I am very impressed with the artwork that has been created with blender.

Ok so here’s my dilemma!

I am trying to render my Earth scene widescreen(PAL 16:9). If I use the “DispView” for my 3D preview the image looks like I want it to. But when I use F3 to save the output buffer the image is more square and the Earth is distorted.

So what is it that I don’t understand or missed setting?
