Rendering volume gets noisy HELP

Okay so I’m rendering this volumetric light on a separate layer in cycles, but if I have the volume bounce set to 1 (or higher) it gets noisy. I feel like I miss out a lot on the outcome if I have it set to 0, but even if I render this in 10k samples it doesn’t get noise-free. This render layer includes both a layer with the volumetric light set up, and then the original layer masked. I have tried setting up the indirect clamp to 10 but I do not see any difference (at least not in the center of the image where the light is, I only render a little bit when trying these different settings to save much time). The step size of the volume is 0.10 and the max steps is 2048, I have tried experimenting with those but this is the best settings of what I found.

Can someone help me with this? How do I make it less noisy? Should I just set the volume bounce to 0 or is there any other setting I can change to reduce noise much? This is the first time I try to make volumetric light in blender.

Never mind, I had some ordinary light in the layer that was being masked and I thought that all the materials in the masked layer were like disabled. But I continued to experiment and then I duplicated everything in the masked layer, moved it to another layer which now will be the new masked layer, I changed the light materials in this layer and voila. It works much better now!
