Rendering with an alpha channel in the texture results in black

Hi!

I have a simple house modeled in blender. It has a image file (png) with an premultiplied alpha channel applied to it as a sticky texture so that the windows of the house have transparency.

The problem is the renders result in black windows. What I would like instead is the wall from the other side to show trough. Any ideas what I should check to make my windows show trough?

Have you set the image to influence the alpha of the mesh? And make sure your material’s alpha is turned all the way down…

Thank you so much, it’s working now. I didnt realize that I needed to also turn on the transparency of the material and make the value of it 0.
