Repeating Texture along one axis only?

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question regarding repeating textures.

Currently I have a wall. The wall is textured with a regular Generated Cube Projected texture.

On this wall, I would like 3 or 4 windows, stretching across. The window texture I would like to use is a transparent png file. I want to do this by adding a UV group. Typically, if I wanted to add 1 window to a building, I would set the mapping extension to CLIP instead of repeat, and set the texture in place using the UV editor. It’s all great if I only want one window, but how would one add more than one, without having to create multiple UV groups.

If I set the extension to repeat, blender just repeats this window texture all over my wall; and I only want 3 or 4 going across the top axis.

Any suggestions? Please let me know if you’d like me to clarify… .

If you want only a strip of repeating texture you just lay it out that way, as shown here:
