Okay, I tried three different programs (Resource Hacker, XN Resource Editor, and PE Resource Explorer) to replace the game engine EXE runtime icon, and all of them resulted simply in an EXE that wouldn’t run anymore. What on earth am I doing wrong here? I know it’s not just a problem with the Blender EXEs because I tried it on a completely different one with the same effect. I just want to replace the icon! How can I do this?
There’s a few in the developer’s sticky. I haven’t tried them myself, but one will probably work.
He tried them, and I was recently messing around and was trying to replace a few .exes icons from games iv made, but as Plantperson said, it’s like they corrupt the .exe.
Well, that did work… too bad it’s only a 30-day shareware trial.
Does anyone know of any freeware tools that work?
