Research: Layer Effects

Consider this as Blender user testing :slight_smile:

I’d like to find out how you respond to this. These are all layer compositing effects, and need to be organised into a small number of groups. Could you please post what you would feel is a logical division/ordering for these effects?

Contrived example:
Group A: 1, 2
Group B: 3, 4, 5
Group C: 6, 7, 8

Group A: 5,6,8
Group B: 2,3,7
Group C: 1,4

Of course, you could rely on the interface department at Adobe and just lift their arrangement, which would be (guessing):

Darken (3)
Mutliply (2)
Color Burn (7)

Lighten (5)
Screen (8 )
Color Dodge (4)

Overlay/Hard Light/etc. (6)
Difference (1)

Group A: 2,3,7

Group B: 5,6,8

Group C: 1

Group D: 4
