Resetting Bone Origins

It appears that while I was rigging my character, all of the origins for all of the bones were changed to point at the screen’s xyz origin. When I try to reset any of them, nothing happens.

The bones still rotate on their own axis, but it’s slow and there’s a dotted black line showing that the orientation is being calculated from the screen’s xyz origin.

I have had to rebuild this rig every single time I come across a problem, which always stems from fixing a previous problem, which always takes two or three full days of trying to solve before giving up and starting all over. I don’t want to do that again.

SOLVED! (I think!)

Every time I post a question, I find the answer out for myself almost immediately after! There is a little menu in the 3D viewport right beside the Mode menu. It lets you change pivot points globally. I clicked on Active Element and everything is fixed.
