I recently stumbled upon a nebula creation turorial for blender using particles. Ihave been told that it either cannot be done with particles or it was extremely difficult. Neither was true.
Here is the link to the tutorial:

And here is my result that i made with a few slight modifications to the settings used in the tutorial:
Bagus!!!
I am really happy to get hold on this tutorial, simple and straight(lurus) to the point…
your contribution to my tutorials list is appreciated, you better add it in the Questions & Answers forum.
Oh. I got some quite pretty results with that tutorial too, thank you really much for pointing it out!
Same, thanks for finding this. Been using pics as background for my nebulas
Very nice.
Like the effert. There have been something similar around for smoke.
Actually I prefear to do that with a cloud texture. If it is far and 2D it’s faster. if it is to be 3D you cam nake it volumetric the same but is not much fast.
YOur times?
Ok, tried… quite fast

P.S.
I might object to crossposting…
I had no idea that it was said that Nebulas could never be done in Blender with particles. I’ve been doing mine with particles for a long time now. Oh wells. Nice looking nebula. Now make it so it doesn’t look so much like a poof of smoke in space, and more like it’s floating and expanding throughout the depths of space… and I say you got the perfect nebula.
<bump>
hello again i have been taking a hiatus from 3d ( was kinda burning out ) anyway i found an interesting website called www.3dbuzz.com
check it out maybe if we post enuf there he might look into making some free blender vtms just a thought anyway i got the idea for this nebula thing cause im trying to hash out a animation shot concept i have in my head but i really suck at modeling in any app oh well i guess now is as good a time as any to learn please check out the tutorial posted above as it is very useful for all of you who want to do realistic space scenes
The shape and form is great, but the colors are very dark. But very good, once again!
Great looking nebula. Hmm, maybe it should be brighter in the center and stretched out further into space. Other than that, it’s really gnarly.
