Retro raygun

It might be a cliche concept and certainly simplistic compared to some, but this was just a really fun design project that was intended to practice some hard surface modelling techniques and try to capture that retro-futuristic styling from the 50s. Note that all the materials are just placeholders for now, the next pass will be adding surface details, weathering etc, setting a proper scene and lighting, maybe some simple (ha!) animation for charging/firing/reloading. Maybe. You know how it goes with the temptation to keep adding and tweaking; at some point you just have to call it done and move onto the next thing that’s going to teach you something new.
