I use blender just for fun, this is an example. What I’m trying to model is a robust mech, something like a robot for a hypotethical war back in the 90’s with a reminicense of world war II machinery. =P
and sorry for my English
don’t ever ‘expect’ a comment on any forum my friend.
sometimes awesome posts get ignored while posts with nothing but flames in them get to 100 in less than a week =(
But that aside, your modeling looks awesome. I would like to see the mesh of course =)
Anecdotely if you can ‘expect’ a comment, then it is only fair that I can ‘expect’ to see some wires, no? =p
Edit: Something just occured to me - this mech is going to be asymetrical right? Otherwise, why wouldn’t you have just mirrored that right leg so that he’ll also have a left one @_@? Be more kind to ur mechs =)
I thought I posted a reply to this already. I appear not to have. Anyway, don’t ask for comments, it makes you look desperate.
Anyway. It looks pretty nice. Clean, style of thing. An interesting take on what mechs look like, as well, cause most people go in for the ‘HOLY CRAP, WALKING BOXES WITH RIVETS ON THEM’. Nice clean look. Sortof ‘mech warrior for the ipod age’.
So, not many modeling problems as I can see, keep going.
Hi there, this is how my mech is getting. I want it to be more complex and detailed but I dont know what to do with it =P.
And the typical mech scene in japan… a test done using AO and some fast retouching… I enjoy modeling, but not texturing or rigging, anyways ill try to do my best to make it look as great as possible.
sorry for my english again

Very semi-organic feel to the mech. I hope you make some very good choices of material/texture here instead of the usual metal, rusty metal, chrome, type materials; just not overuse these and I think it will turn out great. I’m also surprised to see fingers on that hand there; usually a weapon of some sort is attached and I like this idea. I also think the pistons for the arm look out of place but will have to wait and see how you work progresses.
bwhahahaaa… kewl!
I guess you got a post in before I did! That render is awesome. The materials are close to what I was imagining (especially the black). Now I wanna see this mech destroy some buildings
ha, great compositeman! Maybe have a tiny bit of the sunlight hitting the side of his ‘head’ that will make the image a bit more dramatic, and add a bit if realism.
great model, good job comping!
The composite isn’t actually that hot. The shadow where he meets the ground looks terrible and faked in.
yes… i know, it was a fast test… and something to be happy till i have some more time to keep working on it… … soon i hope
thanks for the comments
