Which gun handle do you prefer? 1 or 2?
- new and shiny
or 2) old and used

Depends on the scene it’s used for. Also it’s a bit blueish.
Its chrome so the reason it appears blueish is because its reflecting its environment, in this case the blue background.
And its not for any perticular scene its simply which one you think looks better.
I’m of the persuasion that weathered always looks realistic, even if it’s just a little.
Case in point–my computer case (ha! a pun!) is new, but even so, it’s still got a few scratches, especially where I had to use a screwdriver. =)
Nothing is perfect, so I prefer the weathered look, definitely. :yes:

The second image looks more realistic in a way, but the wooden handle is way too intact, considering that the metal parts have lots of scratches and such. Also there are a couple of other things that bother me about the images.
- Get rid of that blue background.
- put something in the scene that can be reflected. This way one can actually say something about the materials)
