you should first learn to understand lighting, only then can exercise be made.
Sorry to inform you, but this is nothing, really.
Few notes on the side:
A visual artist in photo-real rendering style tends & strives to simulate photography.
Your object of interest is made of metal.
Your goal is to find an aesthetically pleasing image… Background should not pick an observers attention. Modeling & texturing for such a close-up needs to be better, more in detail. Making a subject of matter needs a story to tell via visual representation of elements… emphasizing it, making it concurrent, a living object, finally by lighting.
“… and then there was Light.” (a final act of a creative idea).
Art to be, an artist as an observer seeks to find a change in self. So how to guide an observers vision?
Otherwise it’s just another ‘appalling’ object.
