I am having a rather strange problem. I am working on making actions for a character exported from makehuman and rigged with the rigify pitchipoy rig. I picked it up again recently after not working on it for a while. I was attempting to go in and clean up my actions by deleting old ones I don’t need. However, when I open “emptyaction”, which I apparently keyed with the LocRotScale keyring set, the whole rig is flipped 90 degrees downward, so that what was once forward motion from a separate action (Im also using the NLA) is now downward motion (because the +y axis of the root bone is now facing the -z axis). I tried deleting all the keyframes on this action and clearing the rotation of both the armature and the character object, but so far the only way I’ve found to fix the problem is to revert to my previous save.
I’ve been working with blender for about 9 months now but only recently tried to get into animation. This is a really frustrating problem considering I haven’t even keyed out a walk cycle that I can be satisfied with yet, so if anyone could give me some insight into the cause of this stumbling block I’d really appreciate it.
