Rig will not move the mesh after adding controls.

After several hours of repeated trial and error, I’ve all but given up on this thing. I have reset the armature modifier, set the parenting type to armature and back, and have tried multiple ways of controlling the mesh. I just can not find any helpful advice on how to fix this, either. It’s always the subsurf modifier (which I am not even using) or the controls are wrong (which I don’t think they are).

Do you have a blend you can share? Do you have your vertex groups set up correctly?

Nevermind. I changed the controls over to the rig and it worked fine. I am such a moron.

I thought I had tried that before though…
