Rigged Body Animation So Slow

Hi

I’ve been lpaying with a rigged body and force field. I’m wondering if somebody can take a look at it for me.

In another quick test I create a cube and add 4 cylinders to that. Duplicate it 40 or more times and run the animation and everything is fine. I join all these iobjects together.

But

With my lego block, if I duplicate it 7 times for example it just runs so slow and stops at frame 8 and freezes blender. No idea why. The object is very simple. Before using it in the rigged body test I ctrl+j everything, apply scale e.t.c and apply all modifiers.

It has to be something to do with the object but can’t see what.

I’ve created a quick version with a cube and cylinders to see if something went wrong when creating my original object. Same issue occurs.

Is this normal. Fairly decent system. Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 5700 XT, 16gb Ram.
