Rigged Character?

Hey everyone, I am new around here.
And also a complete noob to blender and pretty much 3D in generel.
I hope this is the right place to ask questions otherwhise I would appreciate it a lot if a mod could move this into the proper part of the boards.

Anyway.
My question for now is.
I found this tutorial.

But I do not have a rigged character so I was wondering if there was a place to get one so I could start practicing animating.

Any and all help is highly appreciated.

Strange timing you have there, I just posted a new character for Blender 2.54. http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=200829

And Pantin that was used in that tutorial is available from kiopaa, he’s a user here and the link to his rig is in the signature part of his posts. Waylow has posted several characters in a thread in the finished projects section of this forum, but I’m not sure if they all work for blender 2.54. Free characters can be found all around, but you have to make sure the character is for the version of blender you are using… most will say.

why dont you just rig your own. its not that hard and dosent take very long
