Hey Guys,
iam trying, for about a week now, to get this Hinge rigged and then animated correctly.
So u got 5 Axis:
- Moving Axis along a Path (Frame)
- Fix Axis on the Door Frame Hinge Body
- Middle Axis as Connection between Doorhinge and Framehinge
- Fix Axis on the Door Panel Hinge Body
- Moving Axis along a Path (Door)
So if the Door is closing now the Middle Hinge starts Moving and by this movement everything else get triggered.
As far as I know is there no fix Rotation Point like regular door hinges have.
The MiddleAxis is moving on a path till the Hinge is fully closed (see next picture - The path is not correct its just for showcasing, I actually dont have the right curve to work with)
So For example what Iam struggling with is:
How can i get the Axis - 1 (Iam refering to the first pic i showed you guys) to move on its path correctly while my geometry stays on the middle axis (3) und is rotating around the (4). Since the parts that are connected with the MiddleAxis are two fix geometries i can only assign them to one Bone.
So if iam assigning it to the Rotation Bone (4) i struggle with keeping it on the Path and together on the middle axis with the other part.
Is there a way, where i can keep it on Axis 3, while its rotating around (4) and Axis 1 is moving along its Path? I think thats my biggest problem to get 1 geometry working around 3 moving axis (cause if the door is closing the door hinge part is moving too so i have (4), (3) and (1) moving for one Link and (2) is only rotating (3) and (5) for the other llink.
How would you rig this?
Here some more images:
Thank you guys in advance
Greetings Alex
