Rigging a Hand

Hello, reading this tutorial ( http://www.blender.org/documentation/htmlI/x7613.html ) in figure 37, i found a problem, maybe someone can help me:

when i try to parent the ik finger bones to the hand bone, its root get connected with the head of the hand bone, instead of just having a parent connection trough doted lines… you can see what happens to the bone (the bigger one) in the follow picture

what am i doing wrong???


When you parent the bones, you need to choose “Offset” rather than “Connected”.

I think you need to choose the option keep offset, when you parent the bones. As Cire has just said
