Rigging: Bone shifting

I’m rigging a character but between edit and pose modes the bones shift out of place. How can I get the bones in edit mode to stay put when I switch over to pose mode.

Seems like the bones have constraints that alter the restpose. If you want to use the current pose as restpose, press Ctrl+A while you are in pose mode. All editbones will align themselves to the pose. If you use stretchto constraints, i believe you have to readjust their restlengths as well by clicking on the “R” button in the constraint panel.
