Hey all.

Long time lurker, first time posting. Tons of great information here, always humbled in the presence of a lot of great artists.

I’ve got a question regarding the rigging of a hanging sign. I’ve attached photos of the section of the model I’m having trouble with. Basically I’ve got two screws (sort of like ceiling hooks) hanging from the underside of a flag post, two rungs through each of the screws attached through a flag (with a cloth modifier) below. I want to have the rungs collide with the bounds of the screws as well as the cloth hanging from the rungs. I’m garbage at trying to explain what I’m trying to accomplish so hopefully the picture helps.

Any ideas are welcomed!

Looks to me like you could easily do this with bones… using Ik targets to make the sign blow in the wind…

I didn’t use IK but rather Rotation constraints with a couple of Controler bones…
