I am trying to rig my character for basic movements (walking, etc.) but I am having problems, specifically with the legs and fingers.
when they bend, they affect the section and usually cause the faces to intersect, and stretch the face on the opposite side so that the result looks unrealistic.
also, when the fingers move, sometimes there are single vertexes that are not affected as much as the others and are left behind ever so slightly, causing a “Bump”, like it was only partly weight painted, or it is being affected by another armature.
I have checked all the bones three times and redone my entire armature rigging.
Check out some tutorials on weight painting in Blender. Try and Google it.
Select the Character then the Armature and use Ctrl P to parent in Object Mode and then choose automatic weights. (From Bone Heat in 2.9). That will get you started and you can weight paint or otherwise edit your vertex groups from there for details.
