Rigid Body or Dynamic????

I’ve seen several tutorial that say to turn an object into an Actor and select Dynamic and Rigid Body. I have Blender 2.48 and I can only select one or the other from a dropdown list(Dynamic OR Rigid Body). What should I select?

“Dynamic” will make your object respond to gravity and collision.

“Rigid Body” will do that too, but adds more in-depth physics, allowing for rolling balls, tumbling boxes, realistic dominoes, etc.

Dynamic works best for characters in the game engine, who have to stand up straight. “Rigid body” works best for “inanimate” objects.

The tutorials you’re using were written for older versions of Blender. A lot of things are going to be different now, since the game system was overhauled for Yo Frankie!

Thanks, just the info I was looking for!
