Rigid body particles?

Well, you knew this was coming! :slight_smile:
Is there a way to use the new rigid body settings for particles? I tried last night and didn’t get anywhere with it though I could use the rigid body physics with everything else.


I do not think that’s possible. You can set up a particle system that emits another object (eg. a sphere) but if you give this sphere rigid body physics (or soft body for that matter) the particle system will not inherit these settings.
Maybe you can take a look at the new fluid particle solver, if set up correctly this can give somewhat similar results to rigid body objects.
