Rigid body passes through plane?

I have a passive rigid body plane as a ground and an active rigid body cube placed above it. When I animate, everything works as expected with a collision and the cube rolling across the plane to a stop. But if I make the cube thin, like a business card, it passes through the plane with no collision.

Is there a way to fix this?

For rigid body physics to work properly the scale of the objects should be 1. So you need to apply scale to your objects (Ctrl-A). You should also change the rigid body collision to mesh and set the margin to around 0.004.
