Rigify deforms the model

I was made a character model and applied all transformations.
Created a meta rig and placed it inside the model
I generated a skeleton, assigned weight over the entire mesh, and everything was fine until I wanted to redo the skeleton a bit.
I returned to the meta-rig, made changes and re-generated the skeleton again. But! Now this skeleton deforms the model by itself.
Despite the fact that I canceled all the transformations in pose mode (Alt+G, Alt+R, Alt+S), the character is still distorted as it was posed. This is clearly visible when i toggle the armature modifier on-off - some parts of the model jump back and forth.
