Rigify for motion design

Hi there,
Using Blender to animate motion design characters. I am a bit frustrated with the simple rubber option in rigify. The new CloudRig is a bit better, but dosen’t work like I wish either.
Actually I found the good model on a C4D rig system :zipper_mouth_face:

So here is me trying to create a leg rig for smooth knee bending…
My wish would be to get that fonctionnality into the Blender rigify limb (arms, legs, and why not fingers too ?).

I’m not so sure about how the skinning part would work, and there is probably other options would like to add on the knee…
