Rigify Problem - Mesh with Uniform Vertex Weights Stretching When Repositioned

Hi guys, I can’t figure out what it is, but something is stretching these button-like objects.
This is a character rigged in Rigify, the top has those adornments that are supposed to be made with metal.
As it happens all three are placed right on top of the cloth object’s vertex each. In order to preserve their solid shape and also follow their placement on the body/cloth as the character moves and goes through poses, I copied the weights from each of those cloth vertices to their respective button objects. As in, all vertices of a single button have the exact same copy pasted weights.
It works great for preserving their position and rotating with the object, but for some reason they still stretch, depending on where they’re positioned. In this picture you can see the lower one stretched, but if I were to lift it up where the middle one is, it wouldn’t stretch anymore. Depending on where I move it, it would either stretch more or not at all. The other three are affected the same way. I don’t know what’s influencing it, any ideas?

This is because the Spine bones in Rigify have Bendy bones.
If you disable the bendy bones on the DEF bones (layer 29), the stretching should disappear.
If you want to keep your bendy bones there are different solutions depending on your goal with the model.
For example this one

TY, I’ve used vertex parenting instead
