Finally figured out applying uv textures to the final rendered image thanks to zalewskitsf10. I think I’m going to go back and edit the edges of the sheet music, I think it looks too much like it was painted. And I might change the lighting (notice the weird brown reflection on the top of the ring). Besides that I’m really happy with this :smiley: Special thanks to zalewskitsf10 :wink:

Yes very good well done :slight_smile: just though as well, might look good if you add a book cover under the page, might look better might look worse i dont know :slight_smile: lol

i’m not sure if you want critiques, but here are mine in case you do. there should be less specularity on the pages (it kinda looks like plastic right now). and also make the reflections on the ring better, by using an hdri image, this tutorial helped me a lot with making reflections http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKj_Rc8UA7E.

the image on the pages is a little low res but ohterwise it looks good, good job.

Thank you, and yes I couldn’t find a good hi resolution image without buying a stock photo, I might start doing that for this reason. Also, sorry I wouldn’t normally double post but if you would have looked at the first thread that I linked to in this forum you might understand why I did.

Have you tried http://www.freesheetmusic.net/ ? You can download a pdf file and open it in photoshop and add an old paper texture as background. Maybe something like this http://www.cgtextures.com/texview.php?id=12493&PHPSESSID=kfaonfja347ss5ehqkp34iu7m4
With a little basic photoshop skills you should be able to create some pretty good textures for those pages.

Idea is not yours, it’s the old one. And the gold is not real. And the textures are awful…
