This 3/4 view from the rear displays the muscle shapes in the model’s leg.

A clear demonstration of the mesh forming the leg.

Following is the rear mesh view of the mesh duplicated.

The next image is a bit of a distance view just to get a sense
where the state of modelling is at!

My apologies for being remiss in keeping these posts up to date. I have reached the stage where FatGuy’s body is essentially ready for showtime. This image from 2011.6.12 shows the shaping of FatGuy’s buttock area.

With FatGuy’s hips done his belly needed to be optimized as it is joined to the lower neck area.

at first he looked like a chef…

You have an interesting workflow! Keep it up!

Cleaning up some of the modelling.

The upper and lower body have been tidied in the mesh and are now to be joined and hopefully never rendered asunder
:^)

Some serious distortions resulted from joining top and bottom.

The front seemed to potentially require the most flexibility so there is where I started.

The crack of his behind does present some modelling challenge to get everything going the right direction. What with all the sharp angles to deal with in order to get a smooth result.

Returning to the halfview does help in finetuning.

Here is FatGuy roughly as he will continue. He is going to be an actor in my animations and I may of course tweak him in future.

This is where I did not want to let the Tee shirt that originally came with the 3D model go to waste. Faces mode helped significantly in adjusting the mesh to fit FatGuys new body shape.

At least FatGuy now has a Tee. The classic blue uniformed policeman is going to be the guide for his garb. I did not realize that as a user of 3D models how much I would look to adapt readymade models available for CC attribution or naught. (at blendswap) So I am now going to explore the world of 3D clothing in Blender.
