Hi I’m new to blender And I am trying to create a woodland river scene. I am using a deformed plane as the riverbed and ground which is set to be a collision effector as well I have some deformed spheres for rocks which are also set to as collision effectors. The water should flow along the plane and off the edge into the domain. For the most part this happens but the water is floating above the effectors rather than on the effectors as can be seen in the picture below.
I have applied all modifiers and transforms and surface thickness is set to 0. I have been trying to fix this for days. I did at one point get it to sit on the effectors but there wasn’t enough water for the animation. When I increased the amount of water it went back to floating above the effectors.
Can anybody tell me what is going wrong?
I found the problem, after creating a basic water simulation to save on time. Setting the option is planar in the effector options causes this. You have to apply a solidify modifier instead. I have used a surface thickness of 0.2 in the solidify modifier.
