How do I create two different meshes without them being the same ‘object’. I tried ‘splitting’ in edit mode, but this doesn’t seem to work. I figure it’s not exactly what I’m supposed to be doing.
Sounds like you have to seperate meshes in one object.
the best way avoiding this, is to end editmode with TABKEY after adding a mesh.
but you can seperate your two meshes:
go into editmode. select one vertex of the mesh to be “splitted” out. then press CTRL+L to selectall linked vertices (points connected to that mesh) - simply spoken. select the mesh to be separated.
after that you press PKEY to separate the vertices. the mesh will be moved to a new object.
hove this will answer your question.
Thanks muchly, I was in edit mode when I ‘added’ a mesh. Haven’t tried the seperating yet, I’ll simply re-‘add’
