Some of you may have been wondering where I’ve been over tha past few weeks…
Well I won’t forget that day in a hurry. I passed my big bike test (2nd go with no faults) and bought a Honda hornet (600cc). This was a bit of a step up from the year and a half rinding on a honda 250cc. But something happened to me and I ended up waking in an ambulance rushing to hospital with a broken spine and left ankle. I’m now home after enduring 2 weeks on hospital food :(. on the mend. Luckily my spinal chord wasn’t severed so I will be able to walk in a couple of months. I’m able to Zimmar around the place so all isn’t a total loss… accept for my bike :(. Waaaah. Well I guess I’m the luckiest guy in the world because I didn’t loose my legs or my life I even tried to Blend from my hospital bed with a laptop. frustraiting ain’t the word. I’ve still got my sense of humor and my life so I’ll wait for my new blender guide and get the latest blender soonish so I can try out the RAYTRACER!!! WooooT! Best Xmas presie. Makes up for the crap that’s happened to me.
Whew…good thing that you’re ok :o
And as long as you can blend, it’s all good
Nice to see you back, get well soon.
Mr. Hanky and I wish you a speedy recovery.
wow, taht sucks… get better soon!
… my best wishes to you.
Merry christmas and get well soon
Thorsten
Best wishes to you, and I hope you get well sooner than you think.
Martin
Oh man! Sorry!
Keep us updated on your recovery.
This is really bad to hear man!!!
I wish you quick recovery…
Glad that your okay man. That was a close one. Someone in my family was recently injured in a serious car accident. I hope you get better soon.
Hell thats harsh. Keep the positive spirits up, and keep blending!
All the best dude, LB
Glad you’re not dead. Seriously. As my friend the pathogist would say (he does autopsies for the county): if it weren’t for cyclers, the organ donor program would lose 1/3 of its “business”.
Hope you get well quickly and fully!
Glad everything will be ok for you
have a merry christmas holiday!
Wow, thats harsh man, your experience is also one of the reasons i dont think i will ever buy myself a motorbike. Infact, even the car i eventually buy may be re-inforced with a titanium frame and roll cage and have a front grill designed for ramming things and photon torpedoes… well, maybe not that, but i do like the idea of altering a vehical to make it more safe…
I wish you a speedy recovery and hope that you spend your time recovering wisely, as in blending like mad!!!
Matt
Blend on, and blend well!!!
Ouch !
I had my spine broken… twice. Don’t try it : the presents are not nearly as nice the second time.
On the positive side : it is quite possible to recover fully…
Jean
hhmm
may be that’s why i gave up biking when my first daughter was born.
had a 750 cc yamaha V motor custum style and all!
some times i miss it (very hard)
but living is worth too
best whishes to you ( bike as long as you feel good )
bjornmose
Well good news people. I’m now able to walk on 2 feet.
That’s great. Hope things keep getting better.
Glad to hear you’re back on your feet!
Hope the rest of the recovery goes quickly for you.
Congrats
Will you be riding your bike again anytime soon? What are the chances of something like that happening again, right?
And off-topic - since there seem to be a few bikers here, I’ve got a question. I’m 15 and will be 16 next January. I’ve always wanted a motorcycle and my dad challenged me: if I can get the money to buy a motorcycle by my 16th birthday, he will cover all other expenses (driving lessons, safety equipment, parking space). Problem is, I could only drive a 125cc 11kW bike (which I could get unrestricted to 25kW without any papers being changed). Question - is it worth it? I’ve heard some people saying that under 250cc is no bike and others saying that 125cc is more than enough for a beginner if you do not drive on highways. %| I’d use it inside the city and for road trips no longer than 50km.
You know you’ve got a problem when your off-topic part of your posts reaches 85%
