I live in Estonia. I own a heavily modified Trek 4300 (for fast cross country riding with a touch of downhill) and I’m building a site called BikeZone with 2 friends. 'nuff said? 
It’s good to hear that you’re doing better djfuego. We have made so much progress with Blender and that should help to cheer you up while you recover.

well here in NZ our learners bike size is limited to 250cc and under.
the thing is a 250cc bike can easily get up to 160Kph which is plenty fast enough. and if you think about it the power to weight ratio of a 250cc is good because of a lighter frame and such (its all about power to weight ratio, not cc’s)
so IMO 250 is plenty fast enough, especially these modern ones coming from japan, the old 250’s were crap but those are heavy and non stream lined bikes.
also BOTH of my parents were motorcycle instructors, they both took classes teaching others how to bike. and due to their skill they are not dead, but they have told me many many storys of almost death, of lucky times when anyone less skilled than them would be totally dead etc…
my father told me a similar thing to you, “i don’t want you to buy a bike untill you are at least over 21, i know how many people die on them and its not somthing to think about. but if you do get one then i will teach you how its done properly”
basicly he warned me of the death rate (which is increadibly high) you havea single crash on a bike and you are likely F’ed. you have any serious type of crash on a bike and you are most likely dead. and the chances of having a crash are super high in the first place. road surface due to 2 wheels is a big issue. you hit a stone, a puddle, a bit of oil, some plastic, or some gravel and you are dead or in hospital. (if you suck LOL)
the funny thing is he rides his motorbike with a bright purple jacket, yellow pants, a blue bag, and a white with orange helmet.
if you are gonna buy a bike, my father would tell you “don’t buy black helmets, don’t buy black leather jackets, don’t buy anything black”
he gave me the statistics on people dying who wear black vs people dying not wearing black and its pretty crazy. (due to cars not seeing you)
so if you do get a bike then do it safely.

Alltaken and I agree! Get a bike with caution. I reiterate the comment from my MD friend who performs autopsies/etc. at his local hospital: a full one third of the organs their surgeons get for their donor program come from motorcyclists, and it’s not just because they are generous souls.
