Rockingchair Winter Idyll

This is modelled after a rocking chair blueprint from the-blueprints.com. Any critique is appreciated, especially how the intersections of the individual chair parts look, whether they should be put closer together or a weld effect should be applied where the parts meet. I am not so sure how they should fit together more nicely. BTW, I had no reference image. Thanks in advance.

Hey LStefan,
first of all I like the clean and simple design of the chair.
The joints at the back rest are realistic and look good, but as a craftsman myself I can tell you no woodworker would ever build the joint you choose for the leg/floor part connection. Give the legs a smaller or equal width than the small parts, it will make it a more realistic joint.
Have a look on this chair here:

That’s the way joiners do the connection.

But the rest is pretty nice!

Thank you very much for the advice and the link!

I made a little update with the chair legs being the same mesh as the rocking part and the also a few other parts are modified to look a bit more coherent.

The chair is looking good (your last render), but the scene itself looks out of proportion.
