I finally got around to creating 5 more levels for roller. I uploaded an install program, and you don’t need Blender on the computer where you install it to. That install file can be found here

Pooba’s game is stupid. I mean, it’s down right retarded!
But it’s so stupid, it’s awesome! I mean, what kind of game do you roll a little ball around and collect little orbs? Pooba’s games! It’s awesome! But it’s stupid! I’m confused.
anyway, his game made me to think.
I think we are too busy trying to make high end ps2 games, that we quit making FUN ones. Right now I started making a little sphere with a nose and made a big plane and added a cube for a bad guy. you can shoot fireballs and when the bad guy gets near you, he shoots you. but you know what, it’s getting to be a fun game. I am going to make one board, and post it and update it periodically.
I think we got away from the fun, and got into the realistic.
Get back to fun!

Joecool, I totally agree with you. I think blender games would be SOOOO much further along, if at the begining, we had all started making a bunch of really simple stupid little games instead of trying to make zelda, perfect dark, and final fantasy. I’m going to make a stupid game now! And it’s going to rock!

Joe was pointing out that instead of trying to make super cool games, we should all make stupid games, because at least they are playable, and can be wildly fun like poobas little Roller that kept me up into the wee hours of the night.
I think this game is one of the “real” game that made with gameBlender. Others are not real game. They must be called “realtime interactive demonstration”.
I like this game, too! Heh, it reminds me of marble madness, marble mania(a blender game made by a friend), and super monkey ball. I have two small suggestions at the moment, if you dont mind…
Unless you did this to deliberately make the game difficult, could you change it so you collect the spheres with a near sensor, rather than a collision sensor? this way you dont bounce off in whichever direction when you pick one up.
Also, I noticed that I get stuck when a platform came down and pushed me through the floor into the next room, so I couldnt return OR continue. This would make a great trap, but do you think you could at least make blender restart the level if you get crushed? just a suggestion. I really like your game other than that, by the way.
Lastly, If you can, try to get a hold of super monkey ball; I think you would really relate to that game, with the similarities between this one and that one. I cant wait to see the level you made for kirby, btw
…also, you may want to make it a little easier to reach the switch activated elevater after you get over the fan powered jump in the switch level… The fans are something else I like in this game

I just wanted to let you know that I am working on a game that is COMPLETELY different then what you guys are talking about, Its a BREAKDANCING game…YEAH!
and its gonna be WAY cool, its got GREAT COOL moves and ALSO it will be a 2player game with good quality gaming so there!

Seacigar, the bouncy part of getting the orbs is part of the game. It’s made to be more difficult, and i may even implement that you have to bounce off one to get to another part. Also, if you had read teh readme you would have seen that the R button restarts the level.
Is Supermonkeyball a nintendo or computer game? I can get either on my computer, but i’m just wondering.
Pooba, supermonkeyball is a SEGA game on a NINTENDO gamecube And it’s quite a cool game I must add, although it’s a little more action based than your game, which is a bit more puzzley. Both great games though.
