They are about the same price here, but I’m thinking if the 3060 would be worth the extra cash.

3060 is better. A lot better.
2060 scores a 1647.38 on Blender OpenData. 3060 scores a 2445.82. That’s a 48% increase
Eevee is… Eevee. But where RTX can truly shine is Cycles.
How long will frame times be with the 3060 12gb version?
The only videos/data sheets I’ve found so far was with the 8gb version.
Am I in the right to assume more vram ≈ faster render depending on the scene?
Since when vram is filled, system ram will be used instead. Fast for sure, but not vram fast.
Or does it not matter that much, unlike games for example. Where ram -> vram transfers create frame stutters.
