Ruud Awakening Logo Redux

Many years ago, 2004, I created and animated logo to use on my videos. It was done using ULead’s Cool 3D. I want to create a new, hopefully better, version of it in Blender.

I have started learning to use the Ocean Sim to do the background video. I now enough to manage the animation of the text.

The one problem that I can’t find a solution to yet is the font. I don’t have this font on any of my current computers and I don’t remember what it was called. The closest I can find so far is “Testament I” which is really close, but the lower case e is not the same.

Does anyone recognize the font?

Testament is certainly what the that typeface is based off of, but it must be a hybrid. It has the characteristics of a “uncial script”, you might try searching for “uncial”, “greek” or “medieval”.

Here are a few similar matches, although I don’t think any are perfect matches.
http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/ef/gandalf/regular/ (maybe the closest)
http://www.dafont.com/stonecross.font (definitely not a match, but similar)

That’s it. One of the variations of Gandalf, and now that I am thinking about it, I think I know where I got the font from. I’ll have to check when I get home tonight.

Thanks a lot. I have been browsing through every Celtic and Medieval font collection I could find.

I have found that Stonehenge at www.dafont.com is pretty much a copy of Gandalf EF. Stonehenge is probably the one I used in the first place.

I also found that the Cassidy & Greene KellsFLF looks the same.
