Same materials name when link file

I link other blend file to my scene, and now i have duplicate materials with the same name (the materials that was on my file, and the materials from the linked file).
this is a bug?
im try to set the materials to the object with python, but because the materials have the same name i cant set in the code the materials that i want…

Try to avoid naming conflicts so that you do not confuse yourself.

i am, but in my case i bring the material from other blend file, so this is why i have duplicates name…
