Samsung Galaxy Nexus (rendered with cycles)

Acer - GPU or CPU render? Very nice work by the way, I think Cycles is ready for such kind of projects already.

Thanks Tyrant monkey!

Rozmiarek, it was rendered on an AMD Phenom 6x 1090T clocked at 3.2Ghz (soon to be overclocked to 3.9Ghz  ).

Quick Update.

Improved topology around the speaker, and headphone jack. Cut out the area around the speaker and added the micro USB port. What do you guys think? What can be improved?

Material on the back looks great!
Plastic material, especially on the sides, could do with a little bit of tweaking cos it’s the only thing looking CG, kinda!

You also didn’t seem to have cut out the glass at the top center, see what I mean here:

Looks very nice imo. I do wonder if you used additional loops or edge creasing, because I don’t really see it in the wireframe.

Anyway here’s an idea for you: Add a blender logo (as if it were an app on the phone). Just for vanity.

Gets better along the way. I agree with JoolsMcFly, I already said that but you don’t seem to have fixed it. I personally don’t think you should add a blender logo on it, that looks a bit odd I think.

Hey guys, thanks for all the great ideas! About the screen problem. I did cut out the area around the speaker, but the problem was, I forgot to turn down the specularity on the speaker itself. It should look much better now.

JoolsMcFly, I agree, the sides do make it look a little fake. Any idea how to fix the problem? I’ll post a screenshot of my node setup for that material.

Mcbuff, yes I did use edge loops, does something look wrong?

Anymore ideas guys?

What do you guys think? blender logo, or no blender logo?
