Sand storm - particle system

Hey all,

I’m looking to create a subtle dust/sand whisk of wind on occasion in my desert scene. I’ve followed a few tuts, and it doesn’t quite look the way I want. I’ve made a little pyramid to represent my particle, colored it sand color…I’ve added a wind force to push the particles and bounce them off the hero character, ground, rocks, etc…but it doesn’t look good. Maybe I need to render it in layers and remove motion blur…I don’t know…increase the frame rate?

Any tutorials or website you guys know that can walk me through this?
