I get what your trying to do with the colour adjusted version. It adds a mood that simply doesn’t exist in the original render, but maybe it needs to be toned down a little. Especially since you lose so much of the detail in the tower and the rocks at at the base of the tower in the adjusted version.
I’d say somewhere between these two extreme images would serve you the best. But good job, the location is certainly very intriguing.

looks good, but i think the color tweaking is a little too intense. It looks desaturated and too blurry to really resolve the good modelling. I had to look at the colored version to fully make sense of it. Samir’s right, it just needs to be toned down a tad. Great work

i think you guys are correct, i’ve over done it with the color adjustments. i may keep it black and white though or very desaturated. i thought i was done with this but i’ve decided to keep playing with it. here’s a few other versions of the same scene with a lot more color:

great pic, i love it, i think the colour adjustments are great, only cris is its a little too dark on the building which makes the details really hard to see
