I am in desperate need of the sapling py. Could anyone give me a heads up on the 404 when I am trying to download it. I knew there was an issue but I am unaware of the status.

Hi,

Sapling is now included by default with Blender, you just need to enable it in under User Preferences -> Addons. You can then find it in the Add -> Curve menu. Hope that helps.

Hey thnx TrumanBlending. Unfortunately it is not appearing under under my options. Ubuntu 11.10 with blender 5 only gives me curveaceous, simplify 3d and torus knots. No sapling.

download the newest version from

blender.org - Home of the Blender project - Free and Open 3D Creation Software

the 2.61 version and there it is included.
Older 2.5x versions may… or may not depending on the built.
