Save startup file

I just reinstalled 2.69 and can not save my user interface using " save startup file." I also installed some extra scripts in my addon folder. Why am II not able to save my interface settings? Thanks

A few versions back (can’t remember exactly when, maybe since 2.69 you’re using) Blender split the way you save user settings and the start-up file. So now you can save your start-up file by going to “File>Save Startup File” (Ctrl+U) and user settings by going to “User Preferences” and pressing the “Save User Settings” button.

BTW, why are you sing the 2.69 version? Is it because of some add-on compatibility issue with newer versions? I’m not trying to preach using the latest version, I’m just curious.

I don’t believe the archimesh script works with newer versions. If it does please let me know. I will try your suggestions. Thanks

I used save user settings in the user preferences and my interface setup saved.

Archimesh works fine on my version (2.72 RC). I’ve used version 0.8.1 of the addon for testing.
