Saving a mesh as a preset for later use.

Hi

Is there any way to save a mesh form I create as a preset so that I can quickly add it for example: Add > Mesh > MyCustomObjectName ?

I realise I could just save such objects to a separate .blend file, label them and then append these as I need them but I was just wondering if there is a quicker way than that?

I’m just looking for ways to speed up modelling workflow.

Damn… I just saw a tutorial on how to do exactly what you are asking to do. I never bookmarked it, but I swear I just watched it about a week ago. If I can find it I’ll check back and post a link.
