Saving Animation?

So attempted for the first time to make a video in blender. Instead of my previous pictures.

I rendered 130 frames of a water animation, and realized at the end I had no idea how to save it or turn it into a movie file (Pictures were so easy, just hit f3).

So I need a little advice. I ended up salvaging 130 pictures (each frame) and it’s sitting on a file on my desktop. Any idea how to make this a movie? I also haven’t had experience with video files before, which is the best to use? Any video tutorials you suggest?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Use the Video Sequence Editor to turn your still images into a movie.

All the video codecs have their pluses and minuses. On the bright side, there are only seven of them, and it doesn’t take long, once the stills are rendered, to make the video. Try them all and see which works best for you.

Okay I have the thing. It turned all my PNG’s to a video. It’s a purple bar on my screen. How do I convert that to the file I want and save it?
