Saving node trees in startup file

Hey guys

I have some node trees I’ve collected over time which I often need to append to a new projects, I’d like them to be easily accessed, Shader Editor > shift-a > group.

I thought I would just be able to append them then save the startup file but that doesn’t seem to work, is there another way to do this?

you can try adding a fake material and add all groups there. To make the material not dissapear you can click “Fake User”
