Saving selections in blender...

Is there any way of saving selections in blender ?

I know that I can do it by assigining material id’s to certain parts of the mesh but is there a faster way ?


maybe you mean the same thin, but you can use vertex groups.

You mean saving object selections or saving vertex selections?

Objects can be selected based on material, on layers, textures, ipos and Object Data. So, by creating a dummy of any of the above you can easily select all the objects that share that dummy.

For vertex selections, you are limited to Materials, Vertex Groups, and UV faces.

A faster way than 2 clicks? Hardly.
