Saving Text in Text Window...Bug? Or Short-Cut Key?

Hey everyone.

I’ve noticed quite a few times recently when trying to copy a script from the text window and saving it to a file that I don’t get the file save window to pop up. Instead I get a small popup asking me if I wish to create a new file but there is no way to specify where to put the file or the name for it.

What I did find is that hi-lighting the entire text (alt-a) and then going to add new in the text window and pasting (alt-v) and then hitting alt-s to save will always bring up the save file window.

I was wondering if this is a bug or if there is a sceondary short cut key that can be pressed with alt-s to bring up that file saving window. By that I mean sort of like the find word is set up. If you hit alt-f you get a little window and type in the word you wish to search for in the text. Then if you hit alt-f again it looks for the same word but doesn’t let you type in a different seacrh. But by pushing ctrl-alt-f you can get the little window to type in a new search. (hope that wasn’t too long and drawn out an explanation :P)

So anyways…is it a known bug? Or is there another way of getting that save window to pop up? I had a look in the Bug Tracker and couldn’t find anything on this problem…

ctrl-alt-shift-f gives you the file option menu. I’ve never seen this bug, but there are a lot of bugs in blender hehe.

Once again Saluk, you are the masta…I should have known that you would know how to do it

Thanks for the quick reply. 8)
