Saving Wavefront obj.

I created two objects in Blender and when I save them and imported them into Vue they are only one object. So to work around this I deleted one object in Blender and saved it and then reopened the file and deleted the other object and saved the other. Is there a quicker way to save waverfront objects so they are seperate objects? I was going to say faster. Vue does take 3ds files but it will not accept the one used in Blender is says the 3ds is an older version. Any ideas on this? I am using Vue 8 Complete if there are Vue users reading this.

Thanks

First of all, you can use OBJ export options (‘Export OBJ’ in the operator panel when export dialog is open). You can tick ‘Selection Only’ to export only the selected object (without deleting anything).

Secondly, I’ve just made a quick test with two cubes exported into obj: there are two “o” entries in the obj file. So if Vue imports such setup as one object it’s entirely up to its importing mechanism.
